once

…there was this cat, see?

He was on the inside,

stuck,

as it were,

Forever.

And there was this lizard,

all free and unencumbered,

just mosey-ing along…

The cat so wanted the lizard.

Just

couldn't 

bear not to have it.

And for a moment there

he thought

his chance had come!

but it was a cruel trick.

Lizard whistled a tuneless air…

Cat pined…

And after a while

it was all over,

but for the memories.
